Tolle's detailed manual on overcoming your false self and seeing the truth in the present is written in timeless, easy to understand vocabulary that is helpful to anyone looking to get more fulfillment out of life. Tolle begins his book by describing the process that lead to his enlightenment. He reports to have experienced a pivotal moment in life where he attained a sense of peace and clarity, the details of which are thoroughly described in the introduction. After that point, Tolle was able to let go of his 'false self' and live a completely pure and realized life. Tolle reports that he realized that 'what everybody was looking for had already happened to me,' and began a life as a spiritual guide.
